History
The Tennis Club
can be found in the Windmill Centre Sports Complex, off the
Hempton Road, and has been situated on this site since the early
1980’s.
The tennis facility consists of three “all weather” courts
(resurfaced in 1999) and an adjoining single room club pavilion
that has electricity services provided. Entry is by means of a
key provided on receipt of a £3.00 returnable deposit.
As well as the
pavilion, club members are able to use the Windmill Centre
facilities, which includes: toilets, showers and kitchen.
The Club caters
for all standards of tennis, whether it is competitive, social
or just a means of becoming a little fitter. All are welcome. A
full programme of activities includes: club nights, tournaments,
family sessions, ladies and mixed matches throughout the year
together with regular coaching courses for those of all ages
wishing to improve their tennis skills.
