Deddington Singles
Tournament
Lovely clear weather on Sunday the 25th of October
saw some excellent tennis during a hard fought, four hour Singles Tournament
With 12 players each playing 154 points over 11
gruelling singles matches, guest entry, Jamie Felton
finally emerged unbeaten at the top of the 'All-Play-All'
League Table
Jamie had kindly stepped in at the last moment to make up the 12, which
meant we
then had a full entry
It wasn't all one way traffic though as the lead kept swapping throughout
the day with some early leaders dropping away as the energy sapping format
began to take it's toll
Ed Toll, Club Chairman took Silver with a solid performance; Sam Anand
tied with Hans Bakker in third but was awarded Bronze medal as he had beaten Hans in
their match
The battle of the juniors was resolved by Jonathan Gough, a few years older
than Mees Camoenie and Mees' father, Andy just lost out to fellow Dutch player,
Hans Bakker by one point
The organiser, Nick Adams, paid tribute to the energy and commitment of the
players thanking them for entering, playing their matches on time and
strictly observing Covid -19 LTA and Government guidelines throughout
